The Driver provides a reliable, secure and discreet driving service for the Global Tech Manager, staff and delegations on mission at Cybastion in Abidjan. Working closely with the Global Tech team and office administration, this role is an essential link in the smooth daily functioning of field operations.

What this post is, and is not. This is not a simple driving position: it is a role of trust which requires rigor, discretion and a sense of responsibility, particularly when transporting people or sensitive documents. The incumbent must know how to anticipate, adapt to changing schedules and represent the image of the company in all circumstances. This position is not suitable for someone looking for a simple transportation job with no commitment, nor for someone uncomfortable with autonomy, basic mechanical maintenance or strict adherence to safety procedures.

What you will accomplish

  • Drive the Global Tech Manager, members of visiting missions and official delegations safely
  • Carry out office courier tasks (deposit/withdrawal of documents, administrative errands)
  • Maintain the assigned vehicle daily and monitor its condition (oil, brakes, tires, etc.)
  • Maintain travel, mileage, fuel and maintenance records
  • Ensure the validity of vehicle documents and compliance with procedures in the event of an incident

Who we are looking for

Non-negotiable cultural fit: absolute discretion, honesty and good morals are the foundations of this role. The incumbent regularly comes into contact with sensitive people and information. Calm driving, flawless punctuality and a spirit of initiative are what build trust with the transported team.

Minimum 5 years of experience as a driver, ideally in an international, public or private institution. Good knowledge of the roads of Abidjan and its region. Impeccable driving and basic knowledge of automobile mechanics are non-negotiable. Working French is essential.  A secondary school leaving certificate (or equivalent) is required; A clean criminal record is generally required for this type of position.
