The Compliance Manager develops, implements, and oversees compliance activities, ensuring adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies — particularly in cybersecurity, government contracting, and international operations. The Compliance Manager combines strong regulatory knowledge with analytical skills and a commitment to ethical practices across a multi-country operating environment.

What this role is, and isn't. This is not a purely administrative or check-the-box compliance role. Cybastion operates under demanding regulatory regimes — U.S. federal contracting, international data protection, and cybersecurity frameworks — where gaps carry real consequences for the company and its clients. The right person can translate complex regulations into practical guidance and lead cross-functional compliance initiatives with authority.


What You Will Build

  • Develop, monitor, and continuously improve the corporate compliance program.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international regulations, including FCPA, GDPR, NIST, DFARS, and other applicable standards.
  • Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify and resolve potential compliance issues.
  • Liaise with legal, finance, HR, and operations teams to promote regulatory awareness, and oversee employee compliance training programs and policy dissemination.
  • Manage reporting systems for ethics concerns, misconduct, or violations.
  • Review and approve contractual terms to ensure regulatory adherence, and support due diligence for third-party vendors, contractors, and strategic partnerships.
  • Interface with government agencies, clients, and auditors on compliance matters, staying current on regulatory changes and advising leadership accordingly.

Who We Are Looking For

Non-Negotiable Cultural Fit: Compliance at Cybastion protects the company's ability to operate in government contracting and international markets — this isn't a role for someone who treats regulation as a formality. The Compliance Manager must have the judgment to interpret ambiguous regulatory requirements and the credibility to hold cross-functional teams accountable to them.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field (a master's or JD is preferred), and brings 5+ years of experience in corporate compliance, ideally in tech, defense, or cybersecurity. They have strong knowledge of U.S. federal regulations (FAR/DFARS, ITAR, FCPA) and international compliance frameworks (GDPR, ISO standards), experience with government contracting and audit readiness, and proven leadership managing cross-functional compliance initiatives. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to translate complex regulations into practical guidance, round out the profile; a compliance certification (CCEP, CRCM, CIPM, or similar), familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (NIST 800-171, CMMC, ISO 27001), multilingual ability (especially French), and experience in African or emerging markets regulatory environments are all a plus.
